03. The Buccal Fat Removal Procedure
During the procedure, you may be given anti-anxiety medication to help you relax. Local anesthesia is injected inside the cheek. Dr. Song then makes a precise incision inside your cheek to expose and remove the buccal fat pad, creating a sculpted and defined appearance. The incision is closed with dissolvable sutures, ensuring no visible scarring.
04. Recovery & After Care
After the surgery, you will receive detailed post-operative instructions for a smooth recovery. Patients are advised to avoid interfering with the sutures and to follow a liquid or soft diet for a few days. Dr. Song may prescribe a mouth rinse to reduce the risk of infection.
